Working with Łukasz at Orange Labs (2013–2017) was a real pleasure. As a UX Designer, he brought a rare blend of creativity, technical understanding, and strategic thinking to every project.

I worked with Łukasz at Orange Labs early in his career. Even though it was several years ago, I remember his contribution to our Agile projects and how he collaborated closely with developers, researchers, and other stakeholders while staying connected to end users through our cooperation with the Consumer Research Center.

He is enthusiastic, caring and has an amazing skill of explaining his concerns to the business owners and development teams. The concerns are about the emotions of the users of his products. He helps teams in building lovable products and business owners to turn their ideas into success.

We worked together on several projects, including:
• PUMA – an R&D initiative exploring applications of emerging technologies,
• IPCM – a customer management platform addressing real user and business needs,
• Fotomontaż – a tool created for field employees, whose needs were often overlooked but whose work was critical. We also had the chance to present this project at the 4Developers conference.

During the projects we worked on together, Łukasz was the only designer in the team and played a key role in shaping solutions that balanced technology, business requirements, and user needs. He combined technical understanding with strategic thinking and strong cross-functional collaboration skills, which made him a highly valued colleague.

Łukasz is a talented and passionate designer, as well as a resolute defender of the end user. We worked together in Orange Labs on a few projects, and no matter the nature of the problem at hand - be it a mobile app, a web page or a physical device, Łukasz was always ready to propose elegant, usable solutions, together with strategies on how to validate them with end users (he introduced me to ethnography as a tool in UX research). Truly the voice of the customer, accustomed to teamwork in agile environments. Highly recommended!

I was Łukasz’s Scrum Master at Orange Labs for four years, and I got to see how he worked day-to-day in our team environment.

We worked together on PUMA, an R&D project focused on IoT and smart home automation, and the Smart Customer Management System, both complex initiatives that required tight coordination across business, development, and design. What I noticed was how Łukasz effectively translated the requirements which are specified by Product Owner into clear design tasks that our developers could work with. When timelines were challenging, in a discussion with developers and Product Owner he’d propose alternatives that kept the project moving forward while maintaining quality standards.

What stood out to me was that he really understood how design fit into our sprint cycles. He didn’t treat Agile as something that got in the way of good design—he found ways to validate ideas and incorporate feedback that made our iterations more effective. Working closely with researchers, he acted as a strong advocate for users in discussions with the business, ensuring their needs were part of the decision-making process.

Łukasz brought with him both excellent design skills based on analyzing user expectations and the ability to listen to the Scrum team’s feedback. As a Scrum Master, I highly recommend his design skills and his collaboration with the team of specialists implementing the product.

I was working with Łukasz in the same dev team during our time in Orange Labs. We were focusing mostly on projects like PUMA (R&D initiative exploring IoT and smart home automation), and the Smart Customer Management System, a tool for streamlining POS customer interactions. In both initiatives, the software component was a part of larger ecosystem, which required us to provide more than just decent software design - that’s where Łukasz’s contribution was invaluable. By making sure we follow the “user first” approach and always try to grasp the larger context in which our software operates, Łukasz was able to bridge the gap between devs, end users and business stakeholders.

Łukasz provides a strong design expertise, works naturally with software developers and acts as a user advocate, which makes him a great member of any product team.

I had the pleasure of working with Łukasz Roth during his three years as a Senior UX Designer at Mobee Dick, reporting to me in my role as Head of Design. Łukasz consistently demonstrated exceptional skills in strategic thinking, collaboration, and delivering user-centered solutions. His contributions were pivotal to the success of high-impact projects, including the Qpony Mobile App Redesign, the Personal Income Tax System for the Ministry of Finance, the Discovery Project for RTV EURO AGD, and the Opera Browser Audit.

As a Senior UX Designer, Łukasz excelled in aligning user needs with business goals and fostering collaboration across teams. In the Qpony Mobile App Redesign, he led a strategic workshop that became the foundation of the project, focusing on empathy mapping and market positioning. This effort resulted in refreshed designs, an interactive prototype, and a compelling value proposition.

In the Personal Income Tax System project for the Ministry of Finance, Łukasz worked closely with a multidisciplinary team to define user flows, conduct competitor benchmarking, and synthesize research findings. His work ensured a user-friendly platform that met both stakeholder and user needs.
